A waiting period of three (3) months shall apply from the date the policy is active in respect of a death due to natural causes.

No waiting period shall apply for benefits that are equal to the previous benefits, however, exclusions and waiting periods will apply on increased benefits.

Unmarried children with disabilities prior to the age of 22, who are unable to care for themselves will be covered for life.

Divorced spouses at inception of the policy are not covered, and the cover for spouses who divorce during the term of the policy will cease immediately on divorce.

You will no longer be covered under a family plan once a decree of divorce has been issued, therefore, you will have to convert your policy to either a single parent plan or an individual policy.

Yes you can increase the benefits anytime provided that one does not exceed the cover threshold. This will also increase your premiums, exclusions and waiting periods will apply on the increased benefit.

The policy will lapse in the event of non-payment of premiums on the due date however there is a 30 days grace period for arrear payment of premiums. The underwriter will not accept liability for claims submitted in respect of lapsed policies.
